The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated History and Geography Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and supportive learning community, while making a meaningful impact on student achievement and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in History and Geography to students across multiple year groups.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student progress and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student performance regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the curriculum and school improvement plans.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development opportunities.
  • Support the school’s mission and values, including promoting inclusivity and celebrating cultural diversity.
  • Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and respect.
  • Work flexibly across a 3-day weekly schedule, with the potential for further development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in History and Geography.
  • Experience in teaching at the secondary level.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience of working in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
  • Familiarity with Sikh values and British heritage.
  • Experience with curriculum development and cross-subject collaboration.
  • Flexibility to support the school’s diverse community and cultural initiatives.
