The Opportunity:

We are seeking an Early Years Teacher and Interim EYFS Phase Leader to lead and develop a high-performing team. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow into leadership with support and clear development pathways.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing Early Years team
  • Be accountable for the quality of education, provision and outcomes across Nursery and Reception
  • Drive high-quality teaching, inclusive practice and strong pupil progress
  • Use assessment effectively to identify priorities and improve outcomes
  • Support and develop colleagues through coaching, collaboration and professional dialogue
  • Work closely with senior leaders to contribute to whole-school improvement
  • Ensure the EYFS curriculum is delivered effectively and in line with school values
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, high expectations and continuous improvement

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in Early Years education with a strong impact on pupil outcomes
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum, assessment and child development
  • Commitment to inclusion, high expectations and achieving the best for every child
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with colleagues, parents and the wider community
  • Organised, reflective and motivated to develop leadership skills

Preferred

  • Experience in a leadership or mentoring role
  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language
  • Experience in whole-school improvement or curriculum development
  • Familiarity with metacognition and SOLO Taxonomy approaches
