The Opportunity:
We are seeking an Early Years Teacher and Interim EYFS Phase Leader to lead and develop a high-performing team. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow into leadership with support and clear development pathways.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a high-performing Early Years team
- Be accountable for the quality of education, provision and outcomes across Nursery and Reception
- Drive high-quality teaching, inclusive practice and strong pupil progress
- Use assessment effectively to identify priorities and improve outcomes
- Support and develop colleagues through coaching, collaboration and professional dialogue
- Work closely with senior leaders to contribute to whole-school improvement
- Ensure the EYFS curriculum is delivered effectively and in line with school values
- Promote a culture of inclusion, high expectations and continuous improvement
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in Early Years education with a strong impact on pupil outcomes
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum, assessment and child development
- Commitment to inclusion, high expectations and achieving the best for every child
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with colleagues, parents and the wider community
- Organised, reflective and motivated to develop leadership skills
Preferred
- Experience in a leadership or mentoring role
- Experience with teaching English as a Second Language
- Experience in whole-school improvement or curriculum development
- Familiarity with metacognition and SOLO Taxonomy approaches
