The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Geography up to A Level, ensuring a stimulating and engaging learning environment.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that promote critical thinking and a deep understanding of geographical concepts.
  • Support students in achieving excellent academic results at GCSE and A Level.
  • Participate in the co-curricular life of the school, including extracurricular activities and events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning and development.
  • Contribute to the induction and professional development of early career teachers.
  • Maintain accurate records and assessments of student progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Geography.
  • Experience teaching Geography at GCSE and A Level.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality education and student achievement.
  • Willingness to participate in co-curricular activities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with the UK curriculum and examination systems.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Previous experience in a school with a strong co-curricular programme.
  • Background in pastoral care or student support.
