Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver dynamic, differentiated lessons in History across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Foster a classroom environment that is inclusive, supportive, and encourages active participation and discussion.
• Use a variety of teaching methods and technologies to engage students and enhance learning outcomes.
• Encourage critical thinking and analytical skills through thought-provoking discussions and debates.
• Monitor and assess student progress using formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the History curriculum and contribute to cross-curricular initiatives.
• Support students in developing a deep understanding of historical events, cultures, and societies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
• Proven experience teaching History at Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to create engaging and differentiated lesson plans.
• Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.

Preferred

• Experience with inclusive teaching strategies and diverse learning needs.
• Familiarity with modern teaching technologies and resources.
• Experience in curriculum development or leadership within a department.
