Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver dynamic, differentiated lessons in History across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Foster a classroom environment that is inclusive, supportive, and encourages active participation and discussion.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and technologies to engage students and enhance learning outcomes.
- Encourage critical thinking and analytical skills through thought-provoking discussions and debates.
- Monitor and assess student progress using formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the History curriculum and contribute to cross-curricular initiatives.
- Support students in developing a deep understanding of historical events, cultures, and societies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
- Proven experience teaching History at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to create engaging and differentiated lesson plans.
- Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
Preferred
- Experience with inclusive teaching strategies and diverse learning needs.
- Familiarity with modern teaching technologies and resources.
- Experience in curriculum development or leadership within a department.
- Strong record of student achievement and engagement.
