Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in History that inspire students and promote a deep understanding of the subject.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with the school’s values and academic standards.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and development.
- Participate in staff meetings, planning sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Support students in extracurricular activities and school trips that enhance their learning experience.
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Maintain accurate records and report on student performance and engagement.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through pastoral care and community initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in History or a related subject.
- Experience in teaching History at Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A level.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take on additional responsibilities.
Preferred
- Experience with innovative teaching methods and the use of technology in the classroom.
- Experience in leading or contributing to extra-curricular activities.
- Experience working in a co-educational setting.
- Knowledge of school trips and international educational opportunities.
