The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join a supportive faculty committed to raising standards and inspiring students. This role offers the chance to make a real impact through high-quality teaching and learning across KS3 to KS5.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective History lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5.
  • Continuously improve teaching and learning practices using IRIS and drop-in feedback.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to the school’s vision, values, and key drivers.
  • Foster a culture of growth mindset and high expectations in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support student achievement and progression.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the school’s teaching and learning standards.
  • Maintain high standards of subject knowledge and deliver clear impact in student outcomes.
  • Engage with the school’s enrichment programme and support student participation in extra-curricular activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in History.
  • Commitment to the school’s vision, values, and key drivers.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Ability to teach History across KS3 to KS5.
  • Strong work ethic and a growth mindset.
  • Experience in using IRIS and engaging with drop-in feedback.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school with a similar vision and culture.
  • Background in a school with a strong focus on enrichment and extra-curricular activities.
  • Experience in working with diverse student cohorts.
  • Knowledge of the context in which the school operates.
