Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Religious Studies lessons that are engaging, creative, and aligned with the school’s curriculum priorities.
- Support the development of students’ literacy and numeracy skills as part of the core curriculum.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of cross-curricular themes including Geography, History, and PSHE.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning practices.
- Use digital devices to enhance student learning and promote independence.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages respect, reflection, and responsibility.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the school’s vision and values.
- Provide pastoral support to students where appropriate and in line with school policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Religious Studies.
- Proven experience in teaching Religious Studies at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to the school’s values and vision, including the “Five Rs”.
- Ability to support the delivery of literacy and numeracy strategies across the curriculum.
Preferred
- Experience in a Multi Academy Trust or similar educational setting.
- Experience with cross-curricular planning and delivery.
- Familiarity with using digital tools to enhance teaching and learning.
- Experience in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
