Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Religious Studies lessons that are engaging, creative, and aligned with the school’s curriculum priorities.
  • Support the development of students’ literacy and numeracy skills as part of the core curriculum.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of cross-curricular themes including Geography, History, and PSHE.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning practices.
  • Use digital devices to enhance student learning and promote independence.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages respect, reflection, and responsibility.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the school’s vision and values.
  • Provide pastoral support to students where appropriate and in line with school policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Religious Studies.
  • Proven experience in teaching Religious Studies at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s values and vision, including the “Five Rs”.
  • Ability to support the delivery of literacy and numeracy strategies across the curriculum.

Preferred

  • Experience in a Multi Academy Trust or similar educational setting.
  • Experience with cross-curricular planning and delivery.
  • Familiarity with using digital tools to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Experience in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
