Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Support the development of students’ literacy and numeracy skills across the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver imaginative and dynamic teaching strategies.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages respect, responsibility, and resilience.
  • Use electronic devices to enhance student learning and promote independence.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Science curriculum and teaching practices.
  • Participate in professional development and staff training initiatives.
  • Work closely with students to support their academic and personal growth.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and qualified teacher status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching Science, either on placement or in recent paid employment.
  • A commitment to supporting student progress and achievement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching Science in a secondary school setting.
  • Experience with delivering literacy and numeracy strategies across the curriculum.
  • Familiarity with the use of electronic devices in teaching and learning.
  • Experience in a Multi Academy Trust or similar educational setting.
