Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, interactive lessons that align with the National Curriculum.
  • Monitor and support the academic progress of students through effective assessment and differentiation.
  • Implement and maintain a consistent and fair behaviour policy across the classroom.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and carers regarding student progress and wellbeing.
  • Develop and update schemes of work that reflect current educational best practices.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching strategies and student outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Promote a culture of independence, resilience, and curiosity among students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status and a relevant degree.
  • Experience in the primary phase, including planning, assessment, and teaching the National Curriculum.
  • Experience in applying positive behaviour strategies.
  • Strong ICT skills and understanding of Assessment for Learning.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and ability to comply with child protection procedures.

Preferred

  • Experience in working with diverse student groups.
  • Background in leading or contributing to school improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Involvement in extracurricular activities or community engagement.
