Join a vibrant Modern Languages department as an MFL Teaching Assistant. You will support French language learning through engaging classes and assist teaching staff in delivering a high-quality curriculum. This role is ideal for someone passionate about language and culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support MFL teaching staff in classroom delivery and lesson planning
  • Deliver small conversational classes to prepare students for oral exams
  • Assist bilingual pupils through enrichment activities using literature, film, and grammar
  • Provide up-to-date information on developments in France, including political, social, and linguistic topics
  • Occasionally lead larger classes and promote language and cultural awareness
  • Collaborate with department staff to enhance the French curriculum and student engagement
  • Encourage enthusiasm for language learning and support the school's educational vision
  • Contribute to the overall success of the Modern Languages department

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Education to the final stage of your secondary school system (e.g. A-level equivalent or Baccalaureate)
  • Strong interest in the culture, politics, and life of your own country
  • Willingness to support language learning and classroom teaching

Preferred

  • A good degree or teaching qualification
  • Some teaching experience
  • Experience with French language teaching or similar subject areas
