The Opportunity:

As an HR Advisor, you will provide expert HR support across multiple academies, ensuring efficient and compliant HR operations. This role is essential in maintaining a positive and professional working environment for all staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line HR advice and guidance to academy colleagues, resolving queries efficiently.
  • Support the recruitment and onboarding process, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including contracts, variations, and leaver documentation.
  • Maintain accurate, GDPR-compliant HR records and ensure compliance with HR policies.
  • Monitor probation and contract end dates, and support policy updates and HR projects.
  • Line manage the HR Assistant, providing coaching and development to build team capability.
  • Collaborate with payroll and HR colleagues to deliver a joined-up, professional service.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across academies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in HR, preferably within the education sector.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, including employee lifecycle management and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Experience with HR systems and digital workflows.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience with workforce terms and conditions for teaching and support staff.
  • Experience in managing HR assistants or junior HR team members.
  • Familiarity with the recruitment and onboarding process in a multi-academy trust.
