Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in making progress in their learning through proactive and positive engagement.
  • Work closely with students to build confidence and encourage independence.
  • Assist in creating a connected and forward-thinking learning environment through the use of electronic devices.
  • Contribute to a positive and solution-focused working environment that values the well-being of both students and staff.
  • Provide guidance and support that reflects high aspirations for every learner’s success.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a consistent approach to student support and development.
  • Engage with students in a way that is empathetic, understanding, and sensitive to their individual needs.
  • Act as a positive role model, particularly for A-level student leavers who are looking to begin their careers in education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Commitment to supporting students in making progress and achieving their learning goals.
  • A genuine understanding and sensitivity to the challenges faced by students.
  • A proactive and positive approach to working with students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in education or related fields.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Experience working with students with additional needs.
  • A-level qualifications or equivalent.
  • Flexibility to consider reduced hours or flexible working arrangements.
