Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the National Curriculum and industry standards.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students and support their academic progress.
- Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to help them refine their skills and understanding.
- Monitor and report on student progress in accordance with school policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with students and parents to set realistic, challenging learning goals that support individual development.
- Work closely with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Participate in the development and review of the Design and Technology curriculum.
- Support extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities that enhance student learning and engagement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Relevant subject knowledge in Design and Technology
- Experience in teaching at the secondary level
- Commitment to student progress and achievement
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
- Experience in delivering industry-relevant, practical lessons
- Knowledge of current trends and innovations in Design and Technology
- Experience with assessment and feedback strategies
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Experience in supporting student pastoral needs
