Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the National Curriculum and industry standards.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students and support their academic progress.
  • Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to help them refine their skills and understanding.
  • Monitor and report on student progress in accordance with school policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with students and parents to set realistic, challenging learning goals that support individual development.
  • Work closely with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Participate in the development and review of the Design and Technology curriculum.
  • Support extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities that enhance student learning and engagement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Relevant subject knowledge in Design and Technology
  • Experience in teaching at the secondary level
  • Commitment to student progress and achievement
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering industry-relevant, practical lessons
  • Knowledge of current trends and innovations in Design and Technology
  • Experience with assessment and feedback strategies
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Experience in supporting student pastoral needs
