The Opportunity:
As an HR Officer inc. Cover Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the school’s HR functions and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on staff and student experiences within a forward-thinking institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee records.
- Support the Cover Coordinator role by managing staff cover and absence procedures.
- Provide administrative support to the Business Administration Team and wider school community.
- Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and systems.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with HR standards.
- Support staff with queries and provide guidance on HR-related matters.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR practices and employee engagement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in HR or administration, ideally within an educational setting.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in using HR management systems and office software.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
Preferred
- Experience with staff cover coordination or absence management.
- Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
- Experience working in a school or academy environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range: £33,699 - £38,220 FTE.
- Term-time plus inset days, plus 10 days annual leave.
