The Opportunity:

Join a vibrant institution as Human Resources Manager and Exams Officer, playing a key role in supporting staff and ensuring the smooth administration of academic examinations. This dual-role position offers the chance to shape both staff experience and student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full recruitment process, including creating job descriptions, advertising vacancies, and conducting interviews.
  • Oversee onboarding, ensuring all pre-employment checks are completed in line with safer recruitment policies.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Coordinate staff training and professional development programs, including mandatory and continuous professional development (CPD).
  • Support the organisation of internal and external examinations in line with examination board regulations.
  • Coordinate examination logistics, including room allocation, seating plans, and invigilator training.
  • Administer examination results and support the processing of result-related enquiries and appeals.
  • Ensure compliance with JCQ regulations and maintain the security of all examination materials and candidate information.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Degree-level qualification and working towards a professional leadership qualification such as CIPD.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Experience in HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
  • Knowledge of employment legislation and HR policy development.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.

Preferred

  • Experience in examinations administration and compliance with JCQ regulations.
  • Experience in payroll management and working with finance departments.
  • Experience in staff wellbeing initiatives and absence management.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining HR information systems such as iSAMS.
