The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, inspirational lessons that engage students.
  • Set and mark regular assignments in accordance with school policy.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support students' progress through parents’ evenings.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupils' academic progress and performance.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Contribute to the development of schemes of work and departmental policies.
  • Promote and safeguard student wellbeing, including participation in pastoral duties.
  • Fulfil tutor responsibilities and contribute to the school's extra-curricular programme.
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in supervision and covering duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in mathematics education.
  • Ability to teach across all Key Stages, including A Level and Further Maths.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and pastoral care.
  • Willingness to participate in extra-curricular and pastoral activities.

Preferred

  • Experience in a boarding or day school setting.
  • Familiarity with national educational initiatives and best practices.
  • Experience with INSET courses and professional development.
  • Background in safeguarding and child protection procedures.
