The Opportunity:

As a Psychology Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering A'Level and GCSE Psychology courses, using your enthusiasm and expertise to inspire and challenge students. You will contribute to a dynamic and supportive learning environment that encourages intellectual curiosity and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging and challenging Psychology lessons aligned with the AQA examination board.
  • Support students in achieving excellent exam results through tailored teaching and individualised guidance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop a broad and stimulating curriculum that reflects the school’s educational philosophy.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and personal growth.
  • Provide pastoral support and mentorship to students, contributing to their overall well-being and academic success.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the field of Psychology and integrate innovative teaching methods into the classroom.
  • Participate in school events and contribute to the wider educational community through extracurricular activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Psychology at A'Level and GCSE.
  • Strong knowledge of the AQA examination board and a proven track record of achieving excellent student outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and engage students.
  • Commitment to the school’s values, including integrity, respect, and a focus on student well-being.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a supportive team environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and delivering innovative and interactive Psychology lessons.
  • Familiarity with the school’s holistic approach to education and commitment to personal and academic development.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple responsibilities.
