The Opportunity:

As a Humanities Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the intellectual and personal development of secondary students. You will deliver dynamic lessons in history, geography, and social studies, while promoting critical thinking and global awareness in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned lessons in Humanities to secondary students
  • Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and active participation
  • Develop and implement assessment strategies that reflect UK curriculum standards
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes
  • Support the personal and academic growth of students through individualized attention and guidance
  • Utilize technology effectively to enhance teaching and learning experiences
  • Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives
  • Communicate regularly with parents and the school community to support student success

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject area (Humanities/Social Sciences)
  • Experience teaching at the secondary/high school level (preferred for early career candidates)
  • Familiarity with UK curriculum standards and assessment methods
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Commitment to student-centered learning and inclusive education

Preferred

  • Experience with technology integration in teaching
  • Background in teaching History, Geography, or Social Studies
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Demonstrated passion for continuous professional development
