The Opportunity:

As a US Design and Technology Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the next generation of innovators. You will inspire students through hands-on learning experiences that combine creativity, critical thinking, and technological skills, all aligned with the US curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with US Design and Technology curriculum standards
  • Integrate practical design projects with theoretical concepts to enhance student understanding
  • Utilize modern technology tools such as CAD software and 3D printing in teaching
  • Foster a classroom environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support student learning and professional development
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
  • Manage and motivate diverse learners with strong classroom leadership
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives and professional development programs

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Design & Technology, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Design and Technology at the secondary school level
  • Strong knowledge of US curriculum standards for Design and Technology
  • Ability to create and implement effective lesson plans
  • Proficient in using current design and technology tools in education

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching in an international school setting
  • Strong background in project-based learning and design thinking
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar
  • Demonstrated success in student engagement and academic achievement
  • Familiarity with Islamic values and cultural diversity in education
