The Opportunity:

As an IB Computer Science Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of technologists. You will deliver engaging lessons that promote computational thinking, problem-solving, and creativity, preparing students for success in international examinations and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and rigorous Computer Science lessons across Key Stage 3 through to examination classes.
  • Teach Computer Science within the IB Diploma Programme or other international frameworks such as IGCSE or A Level.
  • Prepare students for internal and external assessments aligned with international standards.
  • Design and implement formative and summative assessments that support student learning.
  • Foster inquiry-based learning through programming, algorithmic thinking, and computational problem-solving.
  • Support students in developing both practical programming skills and theoretical knowledge.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Monitor and provide timely feedback to students and parents on progress and development.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • A recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Computer Science within an international curriculum.
  • Experience preparing students for external examinations such as IB, IGCSE, or A Level.
  • Strong subject knowledge in programming and computational theory.
  • Commitment to inquiry-based, student-centered learning.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with the IB Diploma Programme.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students in a multicultural, international environment.
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to wider school life.
  • Experience in curriculum development or departmental leadership.
