The Opportunity:

As an IB Science Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of scientists. You will deliver engaging and rigorous Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and examination classes, promoting inquiry-based learning and critical thinking. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and rigorous Science lessons across lower and upper secondary levels.
  • Teach general Science at Key Stage 3 and one or more specialist disciplines (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Physics) at examination level.
  • Prepare students effectively for internal and external assessments in line with the relevant examination framework.
  • Design and implement formative and summative assessments aligned with international standards.
  • Promote practical, inquiry-based learning through laboratory work and experimental investigation.
  • Ensure safe laboratory practices and adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning profiles.
  • Monitor and support student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in a Science discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related field).
  • A recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Science within an international curriculum (IB Diploma experience highly desirable).
  • Experience preparing students for external examinations (e.g. IB, IGCSE, A Level, or equivalent).
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach across a range of secondary Science topics.
