The Opportunity:

As an IB Mathematics Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping students' mathematical thinking and problem-solving abilities. You will teach across Key Stage 3 and examination classes, helping students achieve academic success within an international curriculum framework. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons for lower and upper secondary students.
  • Teach Mathematics across Key Stage 3 and examination classes, including IB, IGCSE, or equivalent curricula.
  • Prepare students for internal and external assessments in line with international standards.
  • Design and implement formative and summative assessments to support student learning.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Monitor and provide timely feedback on student progress to students and parents.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning initiatives.
  • Promote a classroom environment that encourages independence, resilience, and academic integrity.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and international-mindedness.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in Mathematics or a closely related field.
  • A recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Mathematics within an international curriculum.
  • Strong subject knowledge in secondary Mathematics topics.
  • Commitment to inquiry-based, student-centred learning.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with the IB Diploma Programme.
  • Experience preparing students for external examinations (e.g. IB, IGCSE, A Level).
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students in a multicultural environment.
  • Willingness to contribute to wider school life and community activities.
