Key Responsibilities:

• Teach ICT across Key Stages, including GCSE and A-Level where applicable.
• Deliver practical lessons covering programming, digital systems, and emerging technologies.
• Encourage problem-solving, creativity, and independent learning through technology.
• Contribute to curriculum development and integrate innovative teaching methods.
• Promote extracurricular activities such as coding clubs, robotics, or digital competitions.
• Support students in developing digital literacy and computational thinking.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the computing department’s impact.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and incorporate them into teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A certified teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent) from a UK university.
• A relevant degree in ICT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience teaching ICT/Computer Science in a British curriculum school.
• Strong subject knowledge, including programming (e.g., Python, Java, or similar).
• Excellent classroom management and lesson planning skills.
• Ability to teach ICT to GCSE and A-Level.

Preferred

• Experience teaching Computer Science at A-Level.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI, cybersecurity, or data science.
• Previous teaching experience in the UK.
