Job Description

Summary:

The Opportunity:

As an Inclusion Practitioner, you will work closely with the Inclusion Manager and other key staff to support students requiring additional help. You will play a crucial role in promoting positive relationships and ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Inclusion Manager in identifying students who require intervention or additional support.
  • Provide mediation and restorative justice to resolve conflicts between staff and students.
  • Collaborate with Heads of Year, SENCO, and the Romero Centre Manager to develop effective support strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure consistent support.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress and interventions.
  • Assist in the implementation of inclusive practices across the school.
  • Contribute to training and development initiatives focused on inclusion and student welfare.
  • Work with the school community to promote a culture of respect and understanding.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with children in a learning environment.
  • Strong communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Computer literacy and organisational skills.
  • Minimum of five GCSEs, including Maths and English at grade C or equivalent.

Preferred

  • Experience in special educational needs or inclusion support.
  • Knowledge of restorative practices or mediation techniques.
  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar collaborative setting.
  • Familiarity with the principles of social justice and educational excellence.
