The Opportunity:

As a Maths Teacher Apprentice, you will embark on a fully funded Teacher Degree Apprenticeship to gain Qualified Teacher Status within four years. This role combines on-the-job teaching experience with dedicated learning and development, offering the potential for a permanent teaching position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching and learning in Key Stages 3 and 4 under the guidance of experienced staff.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities provided by the Trust and Staffordshire University.
  • Engage with students, parents, and colleagues in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Contribute to the delivery of a high-quality curriculum and the achievement of academic standards.
  • Attend and complete all required coursework and assessments as part of the apprenticeship programme.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to raise standards and support student progress.
  • Fulfil all spoken aspects of the role confidently through the medium of English.
  • Take part in school events and activities that promote the school’s ethos and values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • No prior teaching experience required; open to unqualified candidates.
  • Commitment to gaining Qualified Teacher Status through the apprenticeship programme.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and confidently in English.
  • Enthusiasm for teaching and a desire to support student achievement.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and training.

Preferred

  • Experience in education or related fields.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Passion for maths and a commitment to inspiring students.
