The Opportunity:
As the Principal of a Sixth Form College, you will lead with vision and drive, shaping the future of education and student outcomes. This role offers the chance to influence curriculum, staff development, and community engagement on a large scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire a team of 180 staff to deliver exceptional educational outcomes.
- Uphold and promote the vision, values, and ethos of the academy and Trust.
- Drive innovation in teaching and curriculum to enhance student learning.
- Foster a culture of respect, inclusion, and high expectations across the institution.
- Strengthen practice across the PET through shared improvement and collective excellence.
- Build strong partnerships with local schools, employers, and community organisations.
- Ensure effective communication and evidence-informed decision-making at all levels.
- Represent the academy and Trust with credibility and ambition in the wider community.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven leadership experience in a senior educational role.
- Strong track record in driving academic excellence and staff development.
- Experience in curriculum innovation and quality assurance.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong community and stakeholder relationships.
- Commitment to inclusion, diversity, and student well-being.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a Sixth Form College or similar institution.
- Background in educational leadership within a multi-academy trust.
- Strong communication and public speaking skills.
- Experience in strategic planning and school improvement.
