International Student Coordinator needed to support Chinese students in an immersive 12-week programme.

The Opportunity:

As an International Student Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting a group of international students during a 12-week integration programme. This is a unique opportunity to combine teaching, pastoral care, and programme coordination to help students thrive academically and socially in a new environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English language lessons using TEFL methodologies.
  • Plan and adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Support students’ integration into the boarding community and wider school life.
  • Coordinate and deliver a full programme of enrichment activities and trips.
  • Maintain accurate records of timetables, attendance, and participation.
  • Communicate professionally with parents, staff, and external partners.
  • Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times.
  • Provide regular feedback on student progress and academic performance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Degree-level qualification (or equivalent).
  • TEFL qualification (e.g. CELTA, TESOL, Cert TESOL) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching English as a foreign language to young learners or teenagers.
  • Experience preparing lessons and tailored learning materials.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Preferred

  • Additional teaching or EAL qualifications.
  • Experience working in a boarding school environment.
  • Experience coordinating activities, trips, or structured programmes.
