The Opportunity:

We are seeking an Islamic Studies Teacher Early Years/KS1 to join a dynamic team committed to delivering high-quality education. This role offers the opportunity to shape young minds and contribute to a supportive, inclusive learning environment aligned with UAE and KHDA standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive Islamic Studies lessons in line with UAE Ministry of Education framework and KHDA requirements.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment that promotes student progress and well-being.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments to support cross-curricular learning and student development.
  • Implement Assessment for Learning strategies and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to student learning and progress.
  • Support student development through effective teaching, assessment, and feedback practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress in line with school and KHDA standards.
  • Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant qualification in Islamic Studies and a valid teaching licence.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching Islamic Studies.
  • Strong understanding of UAE Ministry of Education Islamic Studies framework and KHDA expectations.
  • Excellent English language skills.
  • Proven ability to plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons that support student progress.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.

Preferred

  • Experience with Assessment for Learning (AFL) and data-informed teaching practices.
  • Experience in early years or KS1 teaching.
  • Familiarity with British curriculum standards.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
