The Opportunity:

A school is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Islamic Studies teacher with leadership potential to join its team. This role offers the opportunity to shape the curriculum, support student progress, and contribute to a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, challenging, and inclusive Islamic Studies lessons aligned with UAE Ministry of Education standards
  • Lead the development and sequencing of the Islamic Studies curriculum
  • Analyse student data to identify learning trends and support targeted interventions
  • Develop and implement subject action plans to enhance teaching and learning outcomes
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support student progress and wellbeing
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for all students
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive learning experience
  • Support continuous professional development through reflection, collaboration, and innovation

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant qualification in Islamic Studies and a valid teaching licence
  • Eligibility for KHDA approval
  • Strong understanding of the UAE Ministry of Education's Islamic Studies Framework
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in Arabic as an additional language
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality teaching and learning aligned with KHDA expectations

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum leadership or subject leadership roles
  • Familiarity with Assessment for Learning (AFL) and data-informed teaching practices
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
