The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate the Biology department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning
• Deliver engaging and purposeful lessons that align with GCSE and A Level curricula
• Inspire and nurture students through innovative teaching methods and a supportive learning environment
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective learning strategies
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth
• Participate in the planning and delivery of extra-curricular activities related to science
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the school’s academic and pastoral programs

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field, with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (QTS) or equivalent
• At least 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in a British school
• Proven track record of success in teaching GCSE and A Level Biology
• Strong leadership and team-working skills
• Excellent communication and classroom management abilities
• Proficient level of English

Preferred

• Experience in leading or coordinating a subject area
• Experience working in the UAE or within a British curriculum school
• Demonstrated ability to drive positive change through educational initiatives
