Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Computing at KS3 and IT at KS4 and KS5, ensuring a high standard of delivery and student engagement.
  • Deliver a curriculum that is both challenging and relevant, incorporating the latest developments in IT and Computing.
  • Support students in developing technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of computing concepts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching and learning across the school.
  • Participate in enrichment activities and contribute to the wider curriculum, including House system and extra-curricular events.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in IT and Computing to ensure the curriculum remains current and relevant.
  • Contribute to the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in IT/Computing at KS3, KS4, and KS5.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
  • Commitment to student achievement and a passion for teaching and learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching a second subject such as Media or PSHE.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Familiarity with digital technologies and innovative teaching methods.
  • Experience in pastoral care or student support.
