The Opportunity:

As a Media Teacher, you will play a key role in inspiring students and delivering high-quality education in Media BTEC at both KS4 and KS5. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and collaborative educator who wants to make a difference in a school that values innovation and student achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Media BTEC lessons to students at KS4 and KS5.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student engagement and achievement.
  • Support the delivery of a second subject, such as KS3 Computing, KS4 IT, or PSHE, where applicable.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and critical thinking.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the overall learning experience.
  • Participate in the school’s professional development and training programmes.
  • Contribute to the wider curriculum and enrichment activities, where appropriate.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Media or related subjects.
  • Proven ability to teach Media BTEC at both KS4 and KS5.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s core values and ethos.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality education and supporting student achievement.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching a second subject such as Computing, IT, or PSHE.
  • Passion for innovation and technology in education.
  • Experience in collaborative working and professional development.
  • Familiarity with the use of digital tools and resources in teaching.
