Attendance Administrator role with a focus on student support and attendance management.

The Opportunity:

As an Attendance Administrator, you will play a vital role in ensuring students are present, supported, and engaged in their learning. You will manage attendance records, coordinate first-day responses, and work closely with families and staff to support student attendance and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the first-day response process for students.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date attendance records using systems such as Arbor and CPOMS.
  • Support the school in implementing attendance strategies to improve student engagement and achievement.
  • Communicate effectively with families and staff to address attendance concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and safeguarding procedures.
  • Provide administrative support to the attendance team and wider school community.
  • Monitor and report on attendance trends and patterns.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of attendance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience with IT systems such as Arbor or CPOMS.
  • Ability to manage sensitive or urgent situations with a calm and professional approach.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and attendance improvement.
  • Understanding of safeguarding practices or willingness to learn.

Preferred

  • Experience in an educational setting, particularly in attendance management.
  • Previous experience with attendance improvement strategies.
  • Experience working with students who are persistently absent or vulnerable.
  • Familiarity with school policies and procedures.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of £23,874 - £25,446 per annum.
  • 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (part-time hours considered).
