The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced KS2 Class Teacher with responsibility for Head of Scientific and Digital Education. This role involves providing strategic leadership for Science, Computing, and Digital Learning across Key Stage 2, ensuring a high-quality, inquiry-led curriculum aligned with the school’s vision and the UAE National Agenda.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of a coherent and engaging curriculum in Science, Computing, and Digital Learning for Key Stage 2.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and inquiry-based learning, integrating computational thinking and digital creativity.
  • Support the professional development of teaching staff within the Science and Digital Learning departments.
  • Ensure alignment with the English National Curriculum and the UAE National Agenda.
  • Promote sustainability and digital literacy across the school community.
  • Oversee the effective use of ICT in teaching and learning.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to shape the school’s educational vision and strategic goals.
  • Provide guidance and support to students and colleagues in safeguarding and child protection matters.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a minimum of five years teaching experience.
  • A B.Ed or BA degree in a core Primary subject with PGCE.
  • In-depth and up-to-date knowledge of the English National Curriculum.
  • Strong personal presence and high level of interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection policies and practices.
  • Proficient ICT user with experience in digital learning and computing.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or managing a department or team.
  • Awareness of innovative thinking and practice in education.
  • Proven track record in fostering a caring and supportive atmosphere.
  • Experience contributing to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities or leadership roles.
