As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide essential support to pupils with additional needs, helping them achieve their full potential. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people through tailored support and collaboration with teachers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to pupils, addressing their individual learning and emotional needs
• Assist in the development and delivery of individual educational and behaviour programmes
• Prepare and organise classroom resources and materials for engaging learning activities
• Support teachers in delivering structured and dynamic classroom sessions
• Promote pupils’ emotional and social development through consistent and positive engagement
• Record and report pupil progress in line with established procedures
• Accompany pupils on educational visits or journeys home when required

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• GCSE Grade C / Level 4 or above in Maths and English
• Previous experience working in a school or with children and young people
• Experience supporting pupils with additional needs, particularly in a 1:1 setting
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team

Preferred

• Experience with behaviour support and emotional development
• Flexibility to assist with transport and other duties as required
