The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced IT Technician to support our schools within the North Staffs & Stoke Learning Community. This role is essential to maintaining the school’s IT infrastructure and ensuring seamless access to curriculum applications for all students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain network systems and client operating environments.
  • Ensure the availability and performance of curriculum applications on all workstations.
  • Provide technical support to staff and students across multiple school sites.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement and maintain school-wide IT solutions.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance technical skills.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Maintain detailed records of all IT systems and support activities.
  • Stay up to date with the latest IT trends and developments to support the school’s digital strategy.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in IT support and infrastructure management.
  • Strong knowledge of network systems, client operating environments, and application support.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience working in an educational setting is preferred.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with educational software and curriculum applications.
  • Experience with cloud-based IT solutions.
  • Previous experience within a multi-academy trust or similar organization.
  • Certifications in IT support or network administration.

Compensation & Benefits:
