The Opportunity:

As a Learning Support Teacher, you will play a vital role in helping students with a range of learning challenges access the curriculum effectively. You will work closely with class teachers and support students with ADHD, Dyslexia, and other learning needs. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted lessons tailored to students with diverse learning needs
  • Collaborate with class teachers through co-planning and team-teaching
  • Assess students and develop individualised learning programmes
  • Implement and monitor Individual Learning and Health Plans (ILHPs)
  • Support students in small group or one-to-one sessions
  • Maintain accurate records and report student progress
  • Lead and mentor a team of Learning Support Assistants
  • Participate in professional development and stay updated on current educational practices
  • Contribute to a welcoming and inclusive school environment

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in learning support
  • Experience working with students with ADHD, Dyslexia, and related learning needs
  • Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and inclusive teaching strategies
  • Ability to assess student needs and develop targeted learning plans
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred

  • Experience with the British curriculum or international education
  • Familiarity with Individual Learning and Health Plans (ILHPs)
  • Experience with phonics, literacy, and numeracy interventions
  • Experience in team leadership or mentoring
  • Proficiency in using educational technology tools
