As a Learning Support Worker, you will play a key role in helping learners succeed across a variety of academic settings. Whether working one-on-one or in small groups, your support will be essential in helping students reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support learners in a range of classes, from Functional Skills to A Levels, both one-on-one and in small groups.
  • Assist with note-taking and record keeping during classes to ensure accurate documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other support workers to provide a consistent and supportive learning environment.
  • Use digital tools such as Teams and Outlook effectively to support learning and communication.
  • Supervise small study groups and workshops in a calm and professional manner.
  • Attend training and meetings as required, including some sessions after the standard working hours.
  • Provide a positive and encouraging environment for students to thrive in.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4 / C or above.
  • Strong communication and team working skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Experience in working with young people and willingness to supervise study groups.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems, including Teams and Outlook.

Preferred

  • Experience in an educational setting or with learning support.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a school or college environment.
  • Familiarity with teaching and learning strategies.
