The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Male PE Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive team. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about inspiring students and contributing to the school’s ongoing improvement journey. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality PE and Health & Social Studies education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging PE lessons that promote physical well-being and a lifelong love of sport.
  • Support the teaching of Health & Social Studies, ensuring a holistic approach to student development.
  • Encourage and lead extra-curricular activities that promote healthy lifestyles and team spirit.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve student outcomes and raise standards across the school.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that reflects the school’s values of excellence and respect.
  • Stay up to date with best practices in PE and education, implementing innovative teaching methods.
  • Contribute to the school’s improvement journey by sharing expertise and participating in professional development.
  • Promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in all aspects of the PE curriculum.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience in teaching PE, preferably to boys.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Social Studies curriculum.
  • Commitment to extra-curricular activities and student engagement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for inspiring students and promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Preferred

  • Experience working with ECTs (Early Career Teachers).
  • Experience in a school judged 'Good' or 'Outstanding' by Ofsted.
  • Involvement in community and sporting events.
  • Experience with cross-school collaboration within an academy trust.
  • Demonstrated success in raising student achievement and engagement.
