The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join a collaborative and innovative department. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Mathematics lessons aligned with the International Edexcel syllabus.
  • Support students in preparing for UK Maths Challenges, inter-school competitions, and university entrance qualifications such as MAT and STEP.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and provide additional support during free periods and after school.
  • Contribute to the co-curricular programme, including GCSE Further Mathematics and extracurricular activities like Chess club and Programming with Python.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help students achieve their full potential.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and a love for Mathematics.
  • Participate in school events, social gatherings, and professional development opportunities.
  • Uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
  • Proficiency in using technology for teaching and learning.
  • Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures in schools.
  • Commitment to student welfare and academic success.

Preferred

  • Postgraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
  • Experience teaching in an independent, boarding, or global school setting.
  • Experience contributing to a co-curricular programme.
  • Experience supporting students with English as a second language.
  • Experience working with students with SEND.
  • Experience helping students apply to top universities, including Oxford or Cambridge.
