The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join a collaborative and innovative department. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Mathematics lessons aligned with the International Edexcel syllabus.
- Support students in preparing for UK Maths Challenges, inter-school competitions, and university entrance qualifications such as MAT and STEP.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and provide additional support during free periods and after school.
- Contribute to the co-curricular programme, including GCSE Further Mathematics and extracurricular activities like Chess club and Programming with Python.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help students achieve their full potential.
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and a love for Mathematics.
- Participate in school events, social gatherings, and professional development opportunities.
- Uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject.
- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
- Proficiency in using technology for teaching and learning.
- Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures in schools.
- Commitment to student welfare and academic success.
Preferred
- Postgraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- Experience teaching in an independent, boarding, or global school setting.
- Experience contributing to a co-curricular programme.
- Experience supporting students with English as a second language.
- Experience working with students with SEND.
- Experience helping students apply to top universities, including Oxford or Cambridge.
