The Opportunity:

As a Maths Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic journey of students from Year 7 to Year 13. With a focus on delivering high-quality instruction in A Level Maths and Further Mathematics, you will contribute to a school that values innovation, inclusivity, and excellence in education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and impactful lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, with a focus on GCSE and A Level Mathematics.
  • Inspire and motivate students of all abilities, fostering a love for learning and a deep understanding of mathematical concepts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and support student progress.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring inclusive and effective learning experiences.
  • Maintain high standards of academic performance and student attainment through continuous assessment and feedback.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of co-curricular activities that complement the academic programme.
  • Engage with parents and guardians to support student learning and development.
  • Reflect on teaching practice and pursue ongoing professional development to enhance classroom effectiveness.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or PGCE with a specialism in Mathematics.
  • Proven experience teaching Mathematics at GCSE and A Level, including Further Mathematics.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver high-quality, engaging lessons.
  • Experience teaching in a UK or international school setting following the British curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching students from Year 7 to Year 13.
  • Familiarity with the UK National Curriculum and IGCSE/A Level qualifications.
  • Experience in pastoral care or student support.
  • Leadership or mentoring experience within a school setting.
