Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality maths lessons that are engaging, inclusive, and aligned with the school’s curriculum vision.
  • Support students with diverse learning needs, including those with English as an additional language and those with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and professional development opportunities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing targeted feedback and support to ensure academic improvement.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and pastoral care.
  • Participate in ongoing curriculum development and improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
  • Uphold the school’s values and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Proven experience in teaching maths at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching students for whom English is an additional language.
  • Experience in delivering CPD or leading professional development initiatives.
  • Familiarity with curriculum improvement and assessment strategies.
  • Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
