Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality maths lessons that are engaging, inclusive, and aligned with the school’s curriculum vision.
- Support students with diverse learning needs, including those with English as an additional language and those with special educational needs and disabilities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and professional development opportunities.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing targeted feedback and support to ensure academic improvement.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and pastoral care.
- Participate in ongoing curriculum development and improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Uphold the school’s values and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
- Proven experience in teaching maths at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to inclusive education and supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching students for whom English is an additional language.
- Experience in delivering CPD or leading professional development initiatives.
- Familiarity with curriculum improvement and assessment strategies.
- Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
