The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated GCSE Maths Teacher to join our team and support students in developing essential numeracy skills. This role involves teaching GCSE Maths and Statistics on the Foundation programme, while helping students resitting Maths alongside their A-levels. The successful candidate will play a key role in inspiring learners and driving academic progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality GCSE Maths and Statistics lessons in line with the AQA specification.
  • Support students on the Foundation programme and those resitting Maths to build confidence and achieve strong outcomes.
  • Use evidence-informed teaching strategies to enhance student progress and engagement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and impactful learning experience.
  • Provide individualised support to students to help them reach their full potential.
  • Monitor and assess student performance regularly to inform teaching and learning.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to reporting and data management processes.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in delivering GCSE Maths at post-16 level.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and Statistics.
  • Proven ability to inspire and engage learners of all abilities.
  • Familiarity with the AQA specification and assessment requirements.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and student success.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students on the Foundation programme or those resitting GCSE Maths.
  • Demonstrated success in raising student achievement and outcomes.
  • Experience with evidence-based teaching strategies and data-driven instruction.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
