Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality maths lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
• Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote deep understanding and curiosity in mathematics.
• Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing targeted support and feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve departmental performance.
• Participate in professional development opportunities, including NPQs and ECT support.
• Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
• Contribute to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities and pastoral care.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with QTS and relevant maths subject knowledge.
• Proven experience in teaching maths at secondary level.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• Commitment to student progress and continuous professional development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

• Experience with NPQs or other professional development qualifications.
• Experience working with ECTs or in a leadership role.
• Knowledge of current maths teaching methodologies and curriculum developments.
• Experience in developing and leading maths department initiatives.
