The Opportunity:

As a Maths Teacher, you will inspire and educate students aged 14-18, delivering high-quality lessons in small classes. You will be part of a dynamic department with a strong track record of academic success and a commitment to professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Mathematics to students aged 14-18 across IGCSE and A Level courses.
  • Deliver engaging lessons in small classes of up to 12 students.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team of mathematicians to share resources and strategies.
  • Support students in preparing for prestigious mathematics competitions like the UKMT and British Mathematical Olympiad.
  • Participate in pastoral care or extracurricular activities such as student clubs and co-curricular events.
  • Attend departmental meetings and CPD workshops to enhance teaching practices.
  • Prepare and mark assessments in line with the Pearson International GCSE and A Level curricula.
  • Contribute to the development of pre-A Level programmes and support student learning through personalized instruction.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics or a closely related discipline.
  • Teaching experience specifically in A Levels or International Baccalaureate.
  • Thorough knowledge of the iGCSE and A Level Mathematics curricula.
  • Experience managing and leading groups of students or young people.
  • High level of IT literacy.

Preferred

  • Involvement in extra-curricular activities, professional, amateur, or voluntary.
  • Experience with the Pearson International GCSE and A Level curricula.
  • Newly qualified teachers and recent graduates are welcome to apply.
