The Opportunity:

As a Senior Mathematics Teacher, you will lead and support the Mathematics Department, with a focus on the iGCSE curriculum and A Level transition. This is an opportunity to inspire intellectually curious students in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the strategic and day-to-day leadership of the Mathematics Department
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of the iGCSE curriculum
  • Review schemes of work and ensure alignment with syllabus and departmental expectations
  • Monitor teaching and learning in iGCSE classes, including lesson visits
  • Coordinate mid-term and end-of-term assessments and examination entry lists
  • Integrate pre-A Level content into iGCSE teaching
  • Contribute to decisions regarding suitability for A Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics
  • Lead the mathematics elements of admissions to Fifth Form
  • Support enrichment opportunities such as Mathematics Challenges and pupil prizes
  • Communicate with parents on academic concerns or progression matters

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics or a closely related discipline
  • Teaching experience in A Levels or International Baccalaureate
  • Thorough knowledge of iGCSE and A Level curricula
  • Experience managing and leading groups of students or young people
  • High level of IT literacy

Preferred

  • Involvement in extra-curricular activities: professional, amateur, or voluntary
