The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join our thriving department on a part-time basis. This is a temporary role to cover maternity leave, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and inspiring educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Maths lessons to students across appropriate key stages.
- Support student learning through effective planning, assessment, and feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
- Monitor and track student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
- Participate in department meetings, staff training, and school-wide initiatives.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and pastoral support where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment for all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Maths.
- Experience teaching at the appropriate key stage.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to student wellbeing and academic achievement.
- Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
- Experience with curriculum development or assessment strategies.
- Familiarity with technology-enhanced learning tools.
- Experience in a similar temporary or maternity cover role.
- Passion for inspiring student interest in Maths and STEM subjects.
