Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality art and photography lessons to students across a range of abilities.
  • Plan and implement a creative and engaging curriculum that promotes student achievement and personal development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
  • Support students in developing technical skills and artistic confidence through practical and theoretical instruction.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the school’s leadership and character development programme.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement and achievement.
  • Stay up to date with current trends and practices in art education and photography.
  • Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Experience of delivering teaching to GCSE standard.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sustained outstanding attainment and achievement.
  • Experience in innovation and creativity to engage and inspire learners.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching art and photography specifically.
  • Experience working in a school with a leadership or character development focus.
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to working in a diverse and inclusive environment.
