The Opportunity:

As a Digital Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education in Computer Science and Electronics, inspiring students to develop essential digital and computational skills. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching across Year 9, Key Stages 4 and 5, ensuring excellent student outcomes.
  • Inspire students to develop strong digital, computational, and electronic skills aligned with the curriculum.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that prioritizes safeguarding and student wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with industry partners on real-life projects to enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Support the school’s ambition to prepare learners for further study and careers in engineering and computing.
  • Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge of the STEM and Engineering Curriculum and its relevance to UTC education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • 5 A*-C (or 9-4) grades at GCSE including English and Maths.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Working knowledge of Digital, Computer Science, and Electronics in the National Curriculum.
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Sound knowledge of STEM and Engineering Curriculum and its relevance to UTC education.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Digital or Computer Science in a UTC or similar setting.
  • Experience with industry collaboration or real-world project-based learning.
  • Strong understanding of modern digital technologies and pedagogical approaches.
