The Opportunity:
As a Digital Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education in Computer Science and Electronics, inspiring students to develop essential digital and computational skills. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching across Year 9, Key Stages 4 and 5, ensuring excellent student outcomes.
- Inspire students to develop strong digital, computational, and electronic skills aligned with the curriculum.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that prioritizes safeguarding and student wellbeing.
- Collaborate with industry partners on real-life projects to enhance student learning and engagement.
- Support the school’s ambition to prepare learners for further study and careers in engineering and computing.
- Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Demonstrate a sound knowledge of the STEM and Engineering Curriculum and its relevance to UTC education.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- 5 A*-C (or 9-4) grades at GCSE including English and Maths.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Working knowledge of Digital, Computer Science, and Electronics in the National Curriculum.
- Ability to maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Sound knowledge of STEM and Engineering Curriculum and its relevance to UTC education.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Digital or Computer Science in a UTC or similar setting.
- Experience with industry collaboration or real-world project-based learning.
- Strong understanding of modern digital technologies and pedagogical approaches.
