Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Art to A level students with a focus on delivering engaging and inspiring lessons.
• Deliver Art Textiles lessons up to GCSE level where applicable.
• Support the development of students’ practical skills, creativity, and confidence.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning across the department.
• Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and curriculum development.
• Monitor and assess student progress effectively and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
• Stay up to date with developments in the Art curriculum and pedagogy.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Art.
• Experience teaching Art to A level students.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to student wellbeing and character development.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and across the school.

Preferred

• Experience teaching Art Textiles up to GCSE level.
• Demonstrable experience in developing creative and innovative lesson plans.
• Experience with assessment and tracking student progress.
• Knowledge of current trends and practices in Art education.
